The Bride’s Advice…
“Enjoy it! It’s all going to be such a blur. At some point just stop posting for pictures for ‘making the rounds’ and dance. You planned this party, so get down on it.”
The Dream Day
“There are many moments I will cherish, but one of my favorites is when my now husband, JD, and I were taking pictures before the ceremony and I asked him to go get my dad so that we could take some pictures together. The bridesmaids and I were over an hour late and my father didn’t even know I had arrived. He was was not pleased. So, JD decided it would be more fun to bamboozle my dad, Keith, by yelling in a serious voice from a side door through to the chapel, “‘Hey Keith, I need you for a second.’ Of course Keith immediately thought something was wrong but was ready to take care of anything that came his way. When Keith asked what was going on, JD just said, “nothing I just thought you might want to take a picture with your beautiful daughter” and opened the door. I had no idea what was going on as my dad immediately stared crying and almost fell out. I was standing there thinking ‘man, get a grip’ and JD was smiling ear to ear. I already knew JD was the one, but I couldn’t have loved anything more than him getting one over on the biggest smartass/sentimental sap I know.”
