Back to the Beginning

“We first met in a coffee shop in Vietnam during Feb 2013 during our vacation. We dated for five months before David got the offer from Ole Miss MFA program, I got a temporary job in Vietnam, so we were in a distant relationship for six months. I decided to enroll Ole Miss in January 2014 and we reunited. David proposed in December 2014 and we got married on March 21, 2015.

Instead of the Best Man and Maid of honor speeches, everyone in the wedding party spoke, including those not in the ceremony. People spoke about us in a loving way, and roasted the groom, but they spoke from the heart. When looking back at the wedding, I think the reason we think it was a success was because the guests weren’t simply witnesses to our ceremony, but in many ways, they also shared in the event – adding in any way they could, which enriched us all”

The Menu

The lovely couple chose a menu featuring…

  • Smoked Jalapeno Cream Cheese Stuffed Catfish
  • Grilled Shrimp Skewers
  • Assorted Smoked Shish Kaboobs
  • Smashed Potato, Mac & Cheese Bar

  • Grilled Pineapple Slices
  • Pimento Cheese Corn Dip
  • Spinach Dip
  • Taylor Caviar

Kenzie’s Advice

“Chill, and enjoy your day although things may go not exactly the way you want, because nothing’s perfect.”

Note to the Team

“Guests raved about the food, which solidified that Taylor Grocery Special Events Catering was the best choice.  Happy bellies make for happy people.  Our favorite items were the grilled shrimp and the smoked jalapeño cream cheese stuffed catfish. Not only were both items delicious, but easy to serve and very portable. Guests moved freely, mingling with others, and there was little to no need for plates and silverware, making for a more casual and comfortable atmosphere.”
